Who we are
Fourteen years on Harley Street.
The Benchmark Academy was established in 2012 and has taught from Harley Street, Rawalpindi ever since — serving families across Rawalpindi and Islamabad, and students online well beyond them.
In that time, thousands of students have prepared for their Cambridge O Level, IGCSE and Edexcel examinations in these classrooms — many of them the younger siblings, cousins, and now even the children of students who came before them. Fourteen years of the same papers, the same boards and the same standards means very little surprises us. We have seen every kind of student, every kind of gap, and every way a syllabus can go wrong at school — and we know what fixes each one.
Our vision
That every student who leaves Benchmark walks into the examination hall knowing that nothing on the paper will surprise them — and walks out of it with a grade that reflects what they can actually do.
Our mission
To keep classes small enough that every teacher knows every student's standing in every subject: which topics are secure, which are fragile, and what the plan is for the fragile ones.
What we hold ourselves to
Honesty. We tell parents where their child actually stands, even when it is uncomfortable. A predicted grade means nothing if it was invented to keep everyone happy.
Rigour. Assessed tests are marked against real Cambridge and Edexcel mark schemes, not lenient in-house standards. If a student earns a B with us, it means a B in the real examination.
Attention. Small classes are not a luxury here; they are the method. Teaching only works when the teacher can see, in real time, who has understood and who has not.
Calm. We do not run on fear or last-minute cramming culture. Steady, structured work over two years beats heroics in the final two months.

How we teach
The Benchmark week.
Preparation is a rhythm, not a rush. Every week follows the same six steps — for campus students and online students alike.
Concept first
The topic is taught for understanding, from the current Cambridge or Edexcel syllabus — not from last year's notes.
Class practice, in class
Questions are worked in the session, with the teacher watching. Difficulties surface while there is still a teacher in the room to fix them.
Daily homework — and it gets checked
Homework goes home after every class and comes back marked. Work that is assigned but never checked teaches a student nothing.
A weekly assessed test
Every week, under timed conditions, marked against the real Cambridge or Edexcel mark scheme — not a lenient in-house standard.
The test is discussed, question by question
Papers are returned and walked through with students: where the marks were, why an answer fell short, and what the examiner wanted instead.
Parents are told
Results, attendance and homework reach parents after every cycle. If a student is absent, we call — the same day.
Also part of the routine
Notes on Google Drive
Every class's notes, past papers and materials live in a shared Drive folder, organised by topic — nothing lost in a chat scroll.
Mock examinations
A full mock series under timed conditions before every session, followed by a one-to-one review of each paper.
Extra sessions
Weak topics found in assessments get their own sessions. We do not wait for the student to ask.

Programmes
Three boards. One standard.
Whichever board your child's school follows, the preparation is the same: syllabus-complete teaching, relentless past-paper practice, and assessment marked to the real standard.
Cambridge O Level
The traditional CAIE qualification followed by most schools in Pakistan. Full syllabus coverage, topical past-paper practice from week one, and answer-writing technique taught explicitly.
Cambridge IGCSE
Core and Extended tier guidance so each student sits the right paper, with alternative-to-practical papers prepared through real experiment walkthroughs.
Pearson Edexcel
Teaching aligned to Edexcel specifications, which differ meaningfully from CAIE — formula-book fluency and the stepped question style built in from day one.
Every programme is also taught live online, for students anywhere in Pakistan or abroad. Online classes are not recorded lectures left for you to watch alone: cameras stay on, a class admin sits in every session to monitor attendance and attention while the teacher teaches, and absent students are called daily until they are back. Homework, weekly tests and parent reporting run exactly as they do on campus.

Admissions
Three unhurried steps.
There is no application fee and no deadline pressure — no hidden charges, and nothing changes mid-session. Registration is a one-time charge in the first month covering notes, assessed tests and materials; the same fees apply on campus and online.
Pakistan Studies & Islamiyat
Rs 30,000 / month
+ Rs 5,000 one-time registration (first month). Taught together as a pair.
All other subjects
Rs 9,000 / month, per subject
+ Rs 1,000 one-time registration per subject (first month).
